Having used other, cheaper, sets of bands, I can attest to the carnage of the broken bands left in the corner. I used to go to the gym, but let’s face it you’re going there with a whole lot of strangers sweating around everything. I use free weights at home, but bars benches, etc. can really clutter everything up. In addition, I guarantee, that I have not stubbed my toe on a resistance band.
There are several reasons you might prefer resistance bands – they are lightweight, portable, low impact, provide adjustable resistance, and provide resistance in both horizontal and vertical directions.
This set has enough rings, straps, and anchors that I don’t need to change set ups and resistances for different exercises. (I set up different channels by using a door anchor on top and bottom of the door, and attach the small anywhere anchor into the front of a heavy piece of equipment like an elliptical).
The resistance weight is clearly printed on each band. The set comes in a nice gym bag, so it’s like a work out in a bag. You could put the whole thing or just the parts you need in your luggage, which means you do not have to modify your workout routine while traveling.
Now a few things that rub me the wrong way: which segways right in my first complaint. Those nylon canvas things they use to attach the band to the clips will rub the hide off of you. Depending on how you use them. The size or thickness of the bands increases with the resistance of the bands, so the 30 lb is relatively large. The clips are sturdy but they are poorly coated. The coating wears off quickly then the clips can being corroding from perspiration.
The loops on the handles seem enormous, and become obtrusive. If you are one of those folks that are attaching 12 bands to them, I guess that the size can’t be helped, but regular people will only get annoyed by those big hula hoops on the end of your grips(see pic OK, they aren’t that large, but they seem so when they’re getting caught and digging into your arms).
As I mentioned, I don’t believe these issues were worthy of docking a set I am quite delighted with of a whole star. For the most part, it is possible to avoid the issues by altering how you perform the exercises.
You might not like standing on the rings in sneakers during certain exercises. I wish they would have supplied a sleeve or something to stand to protect the band. In addition, the loop on the anchors are pretty smooth, so the bands will easily slide when alternating arms, or just exercising, leading to irregular resistance if you are not careful. A little Velcro strap around the bands can stop them from slipping one way or another.

Seems very well made and sturdy. Great bag to carry everything. I don’t foresee any issues, but the only reason I haven’t given it a 5 is I haven’t used it long enough to see how well it will hold up.

Premium! All I can say is this is a premium complete set! My logic was that with this set we could have 3 people working out at the same time or if I travel I could take a set of handles and bands and not leave my wife without. We went out and watched a few of the workout videos. It’s awesome that there are workouts for absolutely every fitness level! Suburb product for those who are practical about their fitness and don’t want to spend thousands of dollars. Plus, it’s super portable!

Excellent high-quality bands. Easy to adjust resistance and great for travel. The door pull up strap works great for the variety of doors found in different hotels. Using these for P90x.
